Why Tom

Top 5 reasons to use Tom for all your mortgage needs

  1. 05

    Experience

Tom started in the mortgage industry in 1998. He has lived in and served Douglas County as a mortgage broker since 2010, and he constantly seeks to improve so his clients get the very best experience possible.

  2. 04

    Speed

While a lot of lenders struggle to close a file in two months, Tom averages 11 days from submission to final approval when an appraisal is needed — and 7.9 days when it isn’t.

  3. 03

    Options

As a mortgage broker, Tom has access to over 50 lenders. How will you know which one is the right one for you? You probably won’t… but Tom will.

  4. 02

    Pricing

You don’t need to pay for a lender’s fancy office and overhead. They have to pay for it somehow — usually with higher rates and fees passed along to you.

  5. 01

Why trust the biggest asset of your life with a faceless company (“Press one for…”) when you can talk directly with an experienced mortgage professional?

Tom Stafford,
Mortgage Broker

Hardworking, honest, and happily outnumbered at home. He has lived in and served Douglas County as a mortgage broker since 2010. Licensed through Edge Home Finance, LLC and ready when you are.

When should I start the process if I’m six or more months out?

Today. If you know your credit is strong, Tom can go over income, liabilities, and a payment you’re comfortable with so your Realtor searches the right price range. If you aren’t 100% sure your credit is excellent, now is the time to find out — so anything that needs work can be fixed before you’re ready to buy.

Can you help me improve my credit scores?

Yes. When Tom pulls your credit, he sees today’s scores and your potential scores. He can run a report with a specific path to maximize those scores.

When should I refinance?

It depends on the goal. Lower the monthly payment? Shorten the term and save interest? Drop PMI you no longer need? Consolidate high-interest debt? Cash-out for improvements or college? Tom reviews those questions with you before anyone talks rate sheets.
